END THE “DAIRY MILK MANDATE” IN THE NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM!
We thank U.S. Representatives Troy Carter, D-La., and Nancy Mace, R-S.C., for introducing the ADD SOY Act to give kids a soy milk option under the National School Lunch Program.
Please use the form below to easily contact your two U.S. Senators and your U.S. Representative and urge them to cosponsor H.R. 1619, the ADD SOY Act, and end the “dairy milk mandate” in the National School Lunch Program.
This program makes millions of kids sick from lactose intolerance or a dairy allergy, negatively impacting their health and making it difficult to focus in the classroom due to unpleasant symptoms from consuming cow's milk. Nearly 30% of kids throw away the milk unopened, wasting at least $300 million in tax dollars, and missing a calorically significant portion of their meal. All students deserve access to an alternative that provides nutrition without the consequences.
OUR APOLOGIES!
We're not targeting any representatives in your district. But you can still help!
Even though the ADD SOY Act has been introduced, there is still a lot more work that needs to be done. Please consider a tax-deductible donation to Switch4Good so we can continue fighting for dietary equity and the health of millions of children in the National School Lunch Program.
THANK YOU FOR TAKING ACTION
Please share this action alert with your friends, fellow activists, parents, teachers, and anyone who agrees that children deserve fair nutrition in the school cafeteria.
